DESCRIPTION

Taking a fresh approach formed from years of motorsport and component design experience, Process West proudly introduces the Verti-Cooler, a slant-mount intercooler system engineered for the 2015–2021 Subaru WRX. With rapid air-charge cooling and flow-path efficiency as the key objectives, the Verti-Cooler redefines Subaru intercooler performance, delivering lower intake temperatures and improved engine durability.

Verti-Cooler utilizes a large, free-flowing Process West bar-and-plate core (400mm flow length x 205mm stack height x 120mm thick), mounted at a 15-degree near-vertical angle in the engine bay. This positioning works with a specially designed hood duct that force-feeds cold air directly onto the intercooler. The heated air is then efficiently evacuated through the engine bay and out the transmission tunnel eliminating the heat-soak and airflow restrictions seen in traditional top-mount designs.

Compared to the tight 90-degree airflow turn of the stock system, this shallow, low-restriction path dramatically improves thermal efficiency and power potential. With the largest volume of any aftermarket intercooler for the 2015–2021 WRX, the Verti-Cooler delivers serious cooling capacity without requiring a front-mount upgrade.
