The IDoing head unit is a full plug and play solution that features a 9" display. It is a great way to add Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to any 2015-2021 Subaru WRX/STI. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are also now made wireless! This is the only unit on the market currently that will include everything necessary for the installation (it even includes necessary tools)! 

All OEM features are retained such as the steering wheel controls and backup camera. 2015 Subaru WRX and STI owners can now project their backup camera onto the radio screen instead of the top instrument panel display with the included harness! 

The head unit comes with the Google Play Store pre-downloaded so apps like YouTube, Clash of Clans, Amazon Prime Video are available to be played/watched on the head unit.

There are tons of audio settings to mess around with and the head unit is compatible with aftermarket subwoofers, speakers, amplifiers, etc. An IDoing head unit is recommended for all Subaru's with aftermarket audio upgrades because the OEM radio is not built to handle the improved performance. Great head unit

There are some great install videos on the internet which will help with the installation. I was able to do it in an hour after following these.
The head unit it is great, stunning screen and audio quality seems much improved over stock.
Steering wheel controls and reverse camera working fine in my UK spec Final Edition 2017.
Slight issue with the voice assistant button when using android auto. But you can use the button on screen easily enough.

Much needed for driving comfort

Definitely don’t get it if you do not daily drive your subie. I am glad I finally bought this head unit it makes driving so much easier and more convenient with Apple car play. I will never go back to stock screen if I ever sell my STI I will include the idoing head unit because it’s that much more convenient to have for the next person.
