DESCRIPTION

The Blouch Dominator 1.5XT-R Ball Bearing Turbocharger is a stock-location upgrade built for WRX/STi owners who want a quick-spooling, strong midrange turbo with plenty of top-end for a street or track-focused EJ setup. Blouch rates the Dom 1.5XT-R at 49 lb/min and up to ~480 HP capability with the right supporting mods and tuning, and it’s built around a low-inertia ceramic ball bearing CHRA, a 56.5mm high-flow turbine wheel, and a 71mm XT compressor wheel for efficient airflow and fast response.

You can tailor it to your build with 8cm or 10cm turbine housing, optional coated turbine housing, and an optional 3" inlet compressor housing, plus a required oil feed line selection (WRX vs STi). 

WHY

The Dominator 1.5XT-R is a great choice if you want the feel of a responsive, “always-ready” turbo that still has real power potential. Blouch designed it as a refinement of the Dom 2.5XT-R by using a smaller, lower-inertia 56.5mm turbine instead of the 60mm turbine, resulting in slightly quicker spool while giving up some high-RPM horsepower capability compared to the larger option. The ball bearing center section helps transient response, and the housing/actuator setup is designed to provide a smooth, controllable boost curve that makes your tuner’s job easier.
