The IDoing head unit is a plug and play solution that features a 9" display. It is a great way to add Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to the Subaru Outback. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are also now made wireless! This is the only unit on the market currently that will include everything necessary for the installation (it even includes necessary tools)! 

All OEM features are retained such as the steering wheel controls and backup camera. 

The head unit comes with the Google Play Store pre-downloaded so apps like YouTube, Clash of Clans, Amazon Prime Video are available to be played/watched on the head unit.

There are tons of audio settings to mess around with and the head unit is compatible with aftermarket subwoofers, speakers, amplifiers, etc. An IDoing head unit is recommended for all Subaru's with aftermarket audio upgrades because the OEM radio is not built to handle the improved performance. Should have done it sooner!

I replaced the navigation/radio system in my 2015 Outback with the iDoing wrx system and am delighted with it. The old one was a standard gps system that was very hard to use. The screen was unreadable in bright sunlight and I stopped using it a while back and used carplay on my phone. When I found a system that was compatible with my 2015 Outback and connected with my phone map app I bought it. Now navigation is easy, sunlight doesn’t affect the screen and it gives me more and better information.

Exceeded expectations

My son got a unit for his Toyota 4-Runner so I decided to get one for my 2017 Subaru Outback. It is better than I ever expected! One tiny glitch is that it's hard to see with polarized sunglasses. My son installed in less than half an hour using online resources.

The radio worked great in My Subaru including the factory back up camera and the steering wheel functions would highly recommend

The head unit works pretty good, sounds better than the factory one. The setup and install could use some instructions, and the radio receiver seems to be a little weak. But overall a good alternative to the factory head unit.
