The IDoing head unit is a full plug and play solution that features a 9" display. It is a great way to add Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to any 2008-2014 Subaru WRX/STI. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are also now made wireless! This is the only unit on the market currently that will include everything necessary for the installation (it even includes necessary tools)! 

All OEM features are retained such as the steering wheel controls and backup camera (if applicable). 

The head unit comes with the Google Play Store pre-downloaded so apps like YouTube, Clash of Clans, Amazon Prime Video are available to be played/watched on the head unit.

There are tons of audio settings to mess around with and the head unit is compatible with aftermarket subwoofers, speakers, amplifiers, etc. An IDoing head unit is recommended for all Subaru's with aftermarket audio upgrades because the OEM radio is not built to handle the improved performance. Great Unit but doesn't come with an amp

I could've just not read the page right, but I ordered this thinking it had a built in amp and it does NOT. You need to use the stock subaru amp or install an aftermarket one

WRX IDOING ISSUES

The IDOING unit itself is great. But the problem is when it randomly disconnects from your phone. Or, will not connect without rebooting the unit. I cannot find the Android Auto app, the connection thru carlink works usually,90 percent . The unit also when first powered on did not do the typical startup that I've seen. Other than that it's rad.

iPhone users read!!

It’s easy plug and play. But it’s not strictly Apple CarPlay. It’s an android system that has a “CarPlay” app that sometimes works sometimes doesn’t.
It sounds alot better and way better looking other than that.

Amazing Upgrade

Purchased the iDoing head unit as a Christmas gift for my son’s WRX. He was so surprised and happy to receive this! The car is put up for winter, but he still promptly installed it. I have to tell you, this unit is a game changer for the car’s interior and the functionality is amazing! He has two 12 inch subs in his car, which is actually too much for the hatchback (imo), but this unit changed the quality of the sound coming through the car since he now has the ability to use the equalizer on the unit to adjust the bass/treble. I was also highly impressed that WRXDaily reached out to me for a picture of the dash/current radio to make sure the correct item was ordered before shipping. Once pic was sent to them, item was shipped immediately and arrived very quickly. Top notch product and customer service if you ask me. Very satisfied and impressed all around. Thank you -
