The ACT Extreme Race Rigid 4 Pad Clutch Kit for the 2002–2005 Subaru WRX is built for competitive racing where maximum torque capacity and rapid shift response are required. The SB9-XTR4 kit pairs ACT’s Xtreme pressure plate with a rigid 4-pad ceramic race disc, delivering increased clamp load, reduced deflection, and long-term durability through ACT’s exclusive four-stage heat-treating process and rigid precision cover stampings.

The lightweight rigid 4-pad race disc uses high-quality ceramic friction material and a heat-treated chrome-moly hub for strength under extreme load. This rigid design allows for faster shifts and improved heat tolerance, with aggressive engagement and increased gear rattle expected in race-only applications. ACT’s patented Monoloc release mechanism is included to ensure proper alignment and extended release mechanism life under demanding conditions.
