The IDoing head unit is a full plug and play solution that features a 9" display. It is a great way to add Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to any 2015-2021 Subaru WRX/STI. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are also now made wireless! This is the only unit on the market currently that will include everything necessary for the installation (it even includes necessary tools)! 

All OEM features are retained such as the steering wheel controls and backup camera. 2015 Subaru WRX and STI owners can now project their backup camera onto the radio screen instead of the top instrument panel display with the included harness! 

The head unit comes with the Google Play Store pre-downloaded so apps like YouTube, Clash of Clans, Amazon Prime Video are available to be played/watched on the head unit.

There are tons of audio settings to mess around with and the head unit is compatible with aftermarket subwoofers, speakers, amplifiers, etc. An IDoing head unit is recommended for all Subaru's with aftermarket audio upgrades because the OEM radio is not built to handle the improved performance. Quick ship, reasonable installation, solid experience.

Swapped this in over the weekend and it was reasonable. As with many recent tech products, there's no instructions included so be prepared to do your own research / investigations. Plenty of guides but had to use a few to have all of my questions answered. No regrets, wrxdaily.com were great.

Lots of wires but made easy

Honestly unboxing and seeing all the wires can be overwhelming but with a simple YouTube video and the right tools you can have the old head unit out and the new one in after about 30min to an hour. Oh and it works amazing

Headunit

Hey guys - just got this installed today. Coming from the factory BS and the problems.. this has been amazing. I’d say 1000% this would be something I would pair with speakers & HAVE A GOOD INSTALLER DO IT.
This is 100% doable alone but always nice to have setup for you. Very nice, clean look, better response and all around 10/10.

💯 Great head unit

It’s a really good upgraded especially from the OEM unit but it is kind of of a struggle when trying to make it clip in after all the wires are installed is a pretty snug fix but just get another set of hands to hold down one side and the other pushing to snap in the retaining clips but all in all really loving this head unit

Fitment of it

I have a 2016 sti, with some help from youtube and a quick trip to walmart for extension, the install was not bad at all. The only problem I had was getting it to fit properly. To fix this I used my palms to push in the top corners of the screen and it popped into place with a lot of freaky rigamarole. I had the problem where when the top was installed, the top would pop out if I pushed on it.
