The IDoing head unit is a full plug and play solution that features a 9" display. It is a great way to add Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to any 2015+ WRX/STI. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are now made wireless!

All OEM features are retained such as the steering wheel controls and backup camera. 

The head unit comes with the Google Play Store pre-downloaded so apps like YouTube, Clash of Clans, Amazon Prime Video are available to be played/watched on the head unit.

There are tons of audio settings to mess around with and the head unit is compatible with aftermarket subwoofers, speakers, amplifiers, etc. An IDoing head unit is recommended for all Subaru's with aftermarket audio upgrades because the OEM radio is not built to handle the improved performance. You will really be able to notice the difference in audio quality after installing the head unit, it is the immediate response we receive from our hundreds of satisfied customers.

this idoing unit is absolutely amazing and the programming it to my taste is fantastic but fitting it is not so great because up top it stick out a pinch and does not fit flush and the subwoofer amp i have the idoing plugged into the bass does not come out as good as the head unit the idoing replaced, but the sound quality is second to none.

Awesome head-unit!!!

The stock HU is super dated and you couldn’t see the screen on mine if it was bright outside at all (yes i adjusted setting but to no avail the screen type Subaru uses sucks). The iDoing HU (got the 8G-128G) is worth the upgrade!!! Super easy (plug and play) install, i will say you have to push on the screen a bit to get it to pop/lock into place of the stock tabs— which was very unsettling as i did not want to damage the screen. Connectivity with CarPlay is on par with pioneer/jvc/alpine’s i’ve used in the past. Overall super impressed with the fit finish and quality of the product and it also comes with the wrx/sti button bracket so great time to do a wrx/sti MFD upgrade as well! Shipping was awesome and i had someone reach out and ensure i was getting the correct product (ie not HK stock system) great product, awesome customer service, couldn’t be happier unless it was free 😂. Excuse the steering wheel peeling, thats next on the list 😁.

What is the difference between the 4g-64g and the 6g-128g ?

Way better than stock head unit

The only issues I found were the built in mic was very bad so I installed an aftermarket mic and it took a lot of work to clip into place. Everything else went very smoothly and the carplay was worth it.

Great Fit, Lost USB functionality, and Poor Mic Quality

The fit looks great and looks OEM if you didn’t know it was aftermarket. All the clips are in the right spot. My only complaint is that I lost center console USB compatibility for charging and the quality of the built-in microphone to the dash is quite low. People can barely hear me on it even though I’m 2 feet in front of it. Other than that it’s a great product that added CarPlay to my 2015 Crosstrek when I only had a back up camera before. As a sidenote, they were not actual instructions, but I was confused with not putting the stock brackets back on to hold in place as they did not fit.
